There’s a Hole in the World Tonight.

Who doesn’t like The Eagles? (Music band if you don’t know who they are).

My dad shared this song with me last night, and I’ve listened to it a few times as the day has gone on. My Uncle passed away this week, and I’m sure many of you have loved ones who you’ve recently said goodbye.

I want to share a few of the lyrics with you tonight.

There’s a hole in the world tonight
There’s a cloud of fear and sorrow
There’s a hole in the world tonight
Don’t let there be a hole in the world tomorrow.

As I listened to these words over and over, I focused on the last sentence, “Don’t let there be a hole in the world tomorrow.”

There won’t be a ‘Hole in the World Tomorrow’ if we concentrate putting all of our thoughts and efforts on the Lord.

We are going to experience days of ‘Holes’ in our lives and we will need to fill these voids. The best way to fill them is through our Redeemer’s love.

There are no ‘Holes’ in His perfect plan.

There is no fear or sorrow that can’t be overcome when we find His light and give ourselves to Him.
