Focus on what matters.
That is a broad statement and can encompass a lot of essential things. There is a lot that matters to us, so how do we focus on the right things?
I think we can know the focus is right if it creates a progression in our duties.
We can often impede ourselves from moving the needle when we are focused on the wrong thing. Even though our intentions may seem right, the focus may not be the right timing.
Don’t let this become a frustration. We can easily avoid this by remembering the Lord’s timing—His timing is never wrong.
Seek to know His will and where He wants you to place your energy.
Seek to know His timing and pray you’ll be in the right places when the time comes, and He needs you to exercise your Heavenly and God-given talents and abilities.
Remember to use the scriptures and apply them, “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.” Matthew 7:7-8.
He is what matters.
His Gospel is what matters.
Life eternal is what matters.
We are what matters to Him.
Don’t forget the purpose of this life. As we focus on why we are here and stop focusing on what impedes that focus, we will find our way. He is our way to life eternal!
