How prepared are you?
I live in a state where we have four seasons, and depending on mother nature, we sometimes experience all four of them on the same day.
There is an inside joke that some of us share in regards to our weatherman/women. It’s the job they can be wrong 99% of the time and still have a job at the end of the day—At least where we live with such unpredictable weather.
Now, let’s look at this from a Gospel point of view.
Are we prepared for the unexpected weather in our own lives?
Is the weather really unexpected?
Have we been warned or does the weather blindside us?
Are we unprepared, or are we prepared?
I think those who live in areas with unpredictable weather (I’m referring to just weather, not natural disasters) are well prepared for whatever comes. Why? Because it has caught us off guard enough that we just come prepared.
How are we doing in our preparation for when the unpredictable weather of life hits us?
Are we spiritually prepared to take on the unpredictable storms of life?
We know Christ will come when we least expect it.
“Be ye, therefore, ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.” Like 12:40.
Brothers and sisters, just like the weather can change at any time, the storms of life can and will come at any time. We can’t predict them, but we can be spiritually prepared for them.
Our leaders have guided us and will continue to do so. Are we listening?
