There are certain skills you’ll never forget.

There are certain skills you’ll never forget.
.
I learned something cool today. I was a little anxious and nervous to get back on a motorcycle I just purchased. It’s been five years since I’ve ridden.
.
I wasn’t sure I would be able to do it and I doubted myself, to be honest; however, the minute I sat on the bike, gripped the handlebars and twisted the throttle, it all came back to me instantly.
.
I fired the bike up and rode off like I hadn’t skipped a beat. I felt like there was no time lapse—what a cool moment.
.
As I rode home from Salt Lake City, I thought about life after death (probably not what I should be thinking about ridding a motorcycle 😬).
.
We all had a life before we came here and we will one day return to Heaven. I thought of the knowledge, talents, and many other things I may have done in the pre-mortal life.
.
I thought about my time here on earth and how some of us have incredible talents and do amazing things that others are incapable of doing.
.
How do we do things and do them so naturally? I would say it’s probably the same reason I was able to ride my motorcycle after five years of being away.
.
We haven’t forgotten our Heavenly talents; we just haven’t discovered them, or it’s not the right timing. We are being tested here on earth, and perhaps we won’t have access to all of our Heavenly gifts here on earth.
.
It doesn’t mean we should lose faith in the Lord. It’s when we need to have more confidence in His plan. Our Heavenly Father will open the windows of Heaven as we are obedient to His plan.
.
We will uncover our Heavenly talents the more we continue to have faith and be obedient. There are many talents we uncover, and it may seem like we’ve done it forever, which, we very well could have!
.
I’m not saying I rode a motorcycle in Heaven (which would make me very happy if I did), but our spirits will help us identify and remember the talents we have been away from for years as we remain faithful.
.
Hear Him!
