Why do I share messages of the Gospel?

First of all, I share these messages because I have a firm conviction that Jesus Christ is my Savior. His Gospel has been my guide throughout my life.

I want the world to know that we can find peace in Christ. There is hope and happiness for each of us as we seek His will.

I have a duty as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to share the message of the restored Gospel—every member is a missionary. I served a two year proselyting mission and when I returned home, I became a police officer. Why? Because I wanted to continue serving.

Serving is what I love and enjoy to do. There is joy found as we serve and help bring others unto Christ. Even if they aren’t ready to join the church, they can still see my love for Christ.

I decided to put more effort into my missionary work and I realized I could start with my social media. Some unfollowed me and some laughed at the idea. I love them the same, but it was what I felt inspired to do.

I want my kids, grandchildren, great grandchildren to have a source to go to when they want my advice. How often have we heard “Man, I wish I could ask grandma/grandpa/mom/dad what they would do.” By writing daily thoughts on how to “hear Him,” I am literally writing from what my studies teach me and the personal inspiration I receive for the day.

My goal is to help ONE person each day. I hope by writing these short entries, I can inspire others to do good and choose the right. We live in some extremely challenging times. We need all the hope we can receive.

I write to personally remind myself what life is all about and how being obedient to the commandments of God can lead us back to Him.

I try to be as sincere as I can and give advice from a dads point of view, husbands point of view, brothers point of view, sons point of view, police officers point of view, and a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints point of view.

I write because I know my Savior lives. I know he loves me. I know the Gospel can change lives as we act and obey the laws of God.
