When in doubt, pray it out

When in doubt, pray it out.
.
I have no idea if that’s a real quote by someone or if I just liked the rhyme.
.
I’m not the best when it comes to scheduled prayer; It’s like scheduled eating—I don’t do either on a schedule.
.
I talk to my Heavenly Father all day long. It has taken some practice over the years, but when I get downtime, I speak to Him.
.
Too often than not, we may forget He is there for us. He isn’t just there during morning prayer, during meal prayer, and nightly prayer. He is there every single second of the day.
.
If you could talk to your best friend all day long and be with them all day long, would you? Sure, some of you may say you would need a break; however, we are talking about God. The creator of everything. The all-knowing! Wouldn’t you want Him next to you all day?
.
The more you talk to Him the more you’re going to hear Him. The more you’ll begin to understand Him and His will.
.
I don’t schedule time slots to talk with my Heavenly Father. Why? Because He doesn’t schedule time slots for me to call home.
.
I can call home at any given time, and He will answer. He will listen. He will guide you.
.
Sometimes my prayers are quick. As I enter a meeting, I often ask Him, “Heavenly Father, please guide me to know what to say and allow me to learn.”
.
After the meeting, I often follow-up with Him, “Heavenly Father, I thank thee for the opportunity I just had to meet with who I just met with—Please, allow me to grow from the experience and execute on the discussion items I just participated in.”
.
These are just a few examples of what I do to find comfort throughout my day and not just scheduled meetings with the Lord to address my Heavenly Father.
.
“Pray always, and I will pour out my Spirit upon you, and great shall be yourblessing—yea, even more than if you should obtain treasures of earth.” (D&C 19:38.).
.
I am grateful for the power of prayer. It’s an opportunity we have, at all times, to speak to our Heavenly Father through our Savior Jesus Christ.
.
Hear Him!
