Focus on the lasting impact messages of the Gospel have had in your life.

Focus on the lasting impact messages of the Gospel have had in your life.
.
We don’t need to focus on how many times we’ve read the Book of Mormon, the Bible, went to Church services, attended devotionals, or even the amount of times we’ve participated in the temple ordinances.
.
The focus should be on the impact. How have these times impacted your life?
.
There is no requirement to have a specific number before you are deeply impacted by doing any one of these things.
.
Reading the Book of Mormon for the first time may have the longest impacting influence on your life.
.
Attending church service for the first time may have the longest impacting influence on your life.
.
Bearing your testimony for the first time may have the longest impacting influence on your life.
.
Ministering to your neighbors may have the longest impacting influence on your life.
.
I don’t know how many times I’ve been to church or how many times I’ve read my scriptures and I don’t know how many times I’ve been to the temple.
.
What I do know is I have lasting impressions each time I do any of these things. My testimony is strengthened and becomes unshakable each time I do these things.
.
Your Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ want their messages to be impactful. I would like to share one of the most impactful messages I have ever had heard. It is Joseph Smith’s “The First Vision.” I’ve heard it over and over again. Each time it impacts me just the same as the first.
.
“I saw a pillar of light exactly over my head, above the brightness of the sun, which descended gradually until it fell upon me. When the light rested upon me I saw two Personages, whose brightness and glory defy all description, standing above me in the air. One of them spake unto me, calling me by name and said, pointing to the other—This is My Beloved Son. Hear Him!” (JS—H 1:16–17).
.
Why is this so impactful to me? Because everything about it has shaped me to become the person I am today. Those two personages are my Father in Heaven, my brother, my Savior, and His Son—Jesus Christ.
.
Hear Him!
