Are you a winner or a loser?

I think about this statement, and I think about a billboard I always read on my way home from work— “Are you going to Heaven or Hell— call to find out.”

It always makes me laugh, and I’m tempted to call the number to see where my fate is.
.
It’s funny because it’s really that simple. Except, we don’t have to make a telephone call to another human being to find out.
.
Just like we don’t need someone to determine if we are a winner or a loser.
.
We can know where we stand by our obedience. If you don’t know what to be obedient to, you can know really easy. You just need to open your scriptures.
.
The scriptures, the word of God, that’s what tells you if you are winning or need to make adjustments. The Lord will never see us as losers.
.
The Lord is merciful, and he is mindful of our situations. He knows our troubles and He is there to lift us and carry us over the finish line. Again, the Lord doesn’t see us as losers.
.
If you want to lose, then lose your sins.
.
Lose your bad attitudes.
.
Lose your self-pity.
.
Lose your yourself in the work of the Lord.
.
Lose your thoughts in prayer.
.
Lose yourself in the service of others.
.
When you do these things, you’re winning and the Lord is pleased.
.
Are you going to Heaven or hell? Don’t “lose” your mind over this silly thought. Do what you can and be the best that you can be. The Lord loves all of us.
