Strive to be clean each day.

Strive to be clean each day.
.
Today, I had the opportunity, as many of you did, to partake of the sacrament and renew my covenants—ALL of my covenants. What does that really mean?
.
We do this because we promised we would be obedient unto Him in keeping his commandments.
.
Jesus Christ asked us to follow Him. Nephi asks us how we can follow Jesus Christ unless we are willing to keep the commandments of His Father?
.
As I read in 2 Nephi 31 today, I really thought how misfortune it will be for some.
.
Jesus Christ said the following to Nephi.
.
“…thus came the voice of the Son unto me, saying: After ye have repented of your sins, and witnessed unto the Father that ye are willing to keep my commandments, by the baptism of water, and have received the baptism of fire and of the Holy Ghost, and can speak with a new tongue, yea, even with the tongue of angels, and after this should deny me, it would have been better for you that ye had not known me.”
.
Brothers and Sisters, those are not my words. Those are the word of Jesus Christ himself. That is His warning to you.
.
Here is what His Father said to Nephi about this statement.
.
“I heard a voice from the Father, saying: Yea, the words of my Beloved are true and faithful. He that endureth to the end, the same shall be saved.”
.
Nephi had the Lord, Jesus Christ, and then His Father, speak to Him. How important is it for us to keep our baptismal covenant and every covenant we’ve made since our baptism?
.
Both of them! Two separate beings.
.
God the Father added to His Son’s testimony. He said “He that endureth to the end, the same shall be saved.”
.
We are right there—Hold on! Remember why you made those covenants and how special and important you felt at the time you promised the Lord you’d follow and obey Him.
.
Stive to be clean each day, and you’ll continue to Hear Him!
