How do you feel when you do what’s right?

How do you feel when you do what’s right?
.
I’ve thought about this question many times. I’ve taken time to look back throughout my life and recognize the times I did what was right compared to the times I chose a harder path.
.
I’m not going to say I chose the wrong path because I have learned who Jesus Christ is and who Satan is through my choices.
.
I’m confident to say, through my experiences of both sides, I know why I fought for the Plan of Salvation during the war in Heaven.
.
I feel like I have purpose when I follow Jesus Christ. When I obey his commandments and all the laws He has set forth for my protection, I find peace in my life.
.
I remember entering the Missionary Training Center in Provo, Utah (If you’ve been there, share with me what mission you went to.) I was a few weeks in, and I was homesick and struggling to learn the Spanish language.
.
One night I was in my dormitory and everyone was out in the hall mingling, singing, and enjoying their time—not me. I couldn’t figure out why I was hating it so bad.
.
I closed our door and knelt in prayer. During my prayer, I only remember feeling peace and the words of my dad came to me “Grab’em and join’em.”
.
Before I left on my mission, I told my dad I didn’t want to get stuck with a bunch of dorks for companions. He told me it doesn’t matter who I serve with, but it only matters how I serve and to “grab’em and join’em” (he was referring to the dorks).
.
I felt peace, ended my prayer, and heard loud and vigorous knocking on the door. I opened it and had a line of the best “dorks” trying to get into our room. They were concerned for me. I told them I had just shut the door to pray and only did so for a minute.
.
Then I realized what I thought was a minute was nearly half an hour. They had been pounding on the door for an extremely long time.
.
At times, when we call upon the Lord to know if we are doing the right thing, He will create moments of silence. It’s in those moments, you will feel peace and know what you’re doing is right.
.
It’s in those moments you’ll hear Him!
