Some day’s are just a real struggle

Some days are just a struggle.
.
It’s not always easy to make the best decisions or always make the right choices.
.
It’s not always easy to be positive or optimistic in our daily activities.
.
It’s not always easy to have motivation to study your scriptures or even kneel in prayer.
.
It’s not always easy to be happy and be the strength others expect you to be.
.
I come home from work, and I’m not always the happiest dad and husband. Some days are much more challenging than other days. I’m sure my family can tell how my day went the minute they see my face.
.
Life can be brutal—Bills, debt, injury, sickness, death, divorce, unemployment, addiction, mental health, etc.
.
How do we find peace from all of these troubles? I don’t have an individual answer for everyone; however, there is a blanket response—Jesus Christ.
.
I don’t have the answers to everything, but He does. The minute I feel I’m going to tank and drown, I have to figure out how to humble myself and crawl out of my self-pity.
.
Self-pity is no joke—There are so many wrapped up in it.
.
We need to untangle ourselves from it and humble ourselves to be able to hear Him.
.
We need to submit our will to the Lord’s will.
.
We need to recognize the Lord’s hand in all things.
.
We need to pray to our Father to help us grow in humility.
.
We need to choose not to be offended.
.
We need to recognize, confess, and forsake our sins.
.
We need to fast and pray for the needs of others.
.
We need to think of the Savior and renew our covenants during the sacrament.
.
As we do these things, the struggle of daily life will become bearable. We will have Christ to help us bear our journey.
.
Hear Him!
.
