No blueprint of God’s is better than another..
.
This is especially true when it comes to the membership in the Lord’s church.
.
“No member of the Church is esteemed by the Lord as more or less than any other.
.
Everything that is done in the Church—the leading, the teaching, the calling, the ordaining, the praying, the singing, the preparation of the sacrament, the counseling, and everything else—is done by ordinary members, the “weak things of the world.” Elder Packer.
.
As you serve in the Lord’s church, it’s important to remember this. You may be asked to serve in many different positions, but it doesn’t mean you are viewed any more significant than someone outside of your calling.
.
The Lord loves each of us, and we all play a vital role in His church. We are the weak things of the world. How can members of Christ church be weak and why would Christ invite the weak to His church?
.
“And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness. I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them” (Ether 12:27).
.
It’s okay to have and recognize your weaknesses. If you can recognize them and humble yourself, you’re allowing Christ to coach you and teach you His will.
.
Christ is the director, and your blueprints are perfect. He doesn’t create a blueprint better than another blueprint. There is a purpose for each of His projects. He makes His projects different so they can complement each other and become stronger together.
.
As we see our personal blueprint as perfectly created by God and stop judging other blueprints, we will understand His will more clearly.
.
Everyone is a leader in His church. The King himself set the example.
.
“If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another’s feet.
.
For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.” John 13:14-15.

Hear Him!
The quote from Ether has been one of my long time favorites for hope and understanding. Typed it years ago and it still hangs inside my office cupboard with a few others where I can easily read them each time I feel I’m in need. Which, by the way is often 24/7. 😉 Thank you for your writings to help us stay focused in this difficult and confusing world. Love you
