Don’t quit; you’re so close!

Don’t quit; you’re so close!
.
Have you ever attempted something new?
.
It doesn’t matter what it is. It could be a new sport, activity, driving, program at work, being a new mom or dad, fostering children, building a home, working out, or maybe a career.
.
Have you given it your best and felt like your best wasn’t good enough, or someone made you feel like you’re not doing it well enough?
.
Then, after you’ve given it, your all, you feel like it would be best just to give up and throw in the towel.
.
How many of us have been in that situation or are currently in that situation? I know I have been, and in many cases, I’m still fighting my battles.
.
Personal experience provides forward momentum.
.
If you’ve never been in this situation, don’t worry, you’ll have your turn.
.
So, how do I continue to move forward when things prove to be too difficult or impossible? Experience—Experience is what provides hope that everything will work itself out.
.
Time has proven in my life that things have a way of working themselves out. They always do; however, you have to include the Lord in your activities. How do I know that? Experience.
.
I would love to quote all of section 122:5-8 of the Doctrine and Covenants, but I’ll only use verse 7-8 for lack of space.
.
“And if thou shouldst be cast into the pit, or into the hands of murderers, and the sentence of death passed upon thee; if thou be cast into the deep; if the billowing surge conspire against thee; if fierce winds become thine enemy; if the heavens gather blackness, and all the elements combine to hedge up the way; and above all, if the very jaws of hell shall gape open the mouth wide after thee, know thou, my son, that all these things shall give thee experience, and shall be for thy good.
.
The Son of Man hath descended below them all. Art thou greater than he?
.
Hear Him and don’t quit; you’re so close!
