Ride the Storm

Ride the Storm.
There are many times when I don’t even want to open my eyes and see what’s before me or what’s next.
Often, it can feel like we are right in the center of the storm, and we are never getting out. Have you ever felt like that or do you currently see yourself in that position?
After completing a day of teaching, Jesus Christ and His Apostles boarded a ship. They began their stretch across the Sea of Galilee to teach the people on the other side. While Christ was asleep a storm came upon them.
As we know, the Apostles began to fear the storm and they were tossed by the winds and water entered their boat. They awoke Jesus, crying, “Master, carest thou not that we perish?” (Mark 4:38).
What we know next is this, Christ arose and calmed the winds and waves, saying, “Peace, be still” (Mark 4:39).
He turned to His Apostles and asked, “Where is your faith?” (Luke 8:25). Christ reminded then to not be fearful and to remember that He can calm the tossing seas during a storm.
This same principle applies today. Where is our faith during these trying times? Are we turning our thoughts and prayers to the Lord? Do we have the faith He has asked of us?
Hear Him and your storms will begin to calm.
