Hold up the light!

Hold up the light.
.
As we see many posts to ’Light the World,’ let’s keep one person in mind—Jesus Christ. I know it sounds simple, but we tend to forget the meaning of things.
.
Ask yourself, what light are you being asked to hold up?
.
3 Nephi 18:25—”Therefore, hold up your light that it may shine unto the world. Behold I am the light which ye shall hold up—that which ye have seen me do. Behold ye see that I have prayed unto the Father, and ye all have witnessed.”
.
He is the light we need to hold up—our Savior and Redeemer. Christmas reminds us of our duties to light the world with His good news. What is His good news?
.
His good news is life eternal.
.
Today, I desire to hold up this light by testifying of Jesus Christ, according to what I know, things I have seen, felt and heard in my life.
.
The testimony I give involves MY reason and MY experience; however, you’re only going to see a first graders’ art project. It’s an impossible task to describe to you and testify to you what I’ve seen, felt, and heard in my life.
.
Christ is my best friend. When I am in desperate need to talk to someone, He is always there. He is my advocate with our Father. He has never left my side. I have ignored Him, and I haven’t always done what He has asked me to do to hear Him.
.
My mistakes are my own, but He takes them from me and says, go do better, Mike. He doesn’t argue with me, He just listens. When I’m ready, He gives me the advice I need. He opens doors for me that I didn’t know we’re able to be opened.
.
He is there for me during my darkness. He lights my world and asks me to do the same for His world.
.
He lives, and I testify to you that He does. He is watching and has carefully planned our beginning, middle, and end. There is nothing we can do that we can’t turn to Him.
.
“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light” (Matt. 11: 28-30).
.
Hold up the light and Hear Him!
