Listen to the Children

Listen to the children.
.
My wife and I have noticed a rather unusual reoccurring topic in our home. It’s the topic of the second coming of Jesus Christ.
.
We have discussed the second coming with our children but nothing to the extreme.
.
All of us have been encouraged to find ways to Hear Him. This applies to all of us and it does include our little ones; however, how much effort do we as adults need to put into this effort than our children do?
.
I personally feel and I know that my children are much closer to parting the veil that separates us from Heaven and Earth. I also know they are more tuned in with their spiritual senses than I am.
.
Again, we have taught them of the second coming, but not to the level that they speak of it frequently and it’s always unprovoked—It’s unexplainable.
.
My kids hear Him—they hear the spirit of the Lord; they are concerned; they are giving a welcoming warning to us all. Do you hear your kids? Listen to what they are trying to teach you. The second coming is near, and I know they sense it.
.
If we can sense a change in physical and spiritual matters and see the signs of the second coming, how in tune do you think our children are? They feel it and they see it.
.
As you listen to a child you develop a personal relationship and it teaches them to have the same courtesy. Just listening can give you tons of information into their little minds and what they are thinking about.
.
Wise parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts, neighbors, etc… will listen and read between the lines. As you hear the children, you’ll hear their sighs, heartthrobs, and unspoken words—most importantly, you will hear Him!
.
“May the laughter of children gladden our hearts. May the faith of children soothe our souls. May the love of children prompt our deeds.” President Thomas S. Monson.
.
As we teach our children to walk in the light, they will teach us and lead us to do the same.
.
Hear Him!
