What would we do without written records?
.
I know for me, I enjoy writing, and it is a way to ease my mind. We all have something to take the stress away for some time, and writing is one of those for me.
.
I give thanks to those who write and who document, especially our ancestors. I give thanks to our prophets & apostles in the Bible and the Book of Mormon. I am grateful for Joseph Smith and his time spent writing down revelation from God.
.
Because we can write, we can “give thanks” and fulfill the prophet’s prescribed medicine to heal social media for seven days. It’s working from my end; how about your feed?
.
It’s been great to read what everyone is thankful for and see the negativity disperse. We are again lighting the darkness! So, keep it up!
.
Where would we be today if we didn’t have the written word?
.
How would we know of the past without journals?
.
Who would teach us about Jesus Christ if it wasn’t documented by oral transmission or as Job declared.
.
“Oh that my words were now written! oh that they were printed in a book! That they were graven with an iron pen and lead in the rock for ever!” Job 19:23-24.
.
“From latter-day revelation we learn that writing sacred records and the recording of genealogy began with Adam and his immediate family. Adam and the early patriarchs had a perfect language that was both spoken and written.” Bible Dictionary.
.
“And a book of remembrance was kept, in the which was recorded, in the language of Adam, for it was given unto as many as called upon God to write by the spirit of inspiration.” Moses 6:5.
.
So today, I give thanks to the ability to write and document my thoughts. I give thanks to those who have inspired me and have allowed me an opportunity to learn of Jesus Christ and His restored Gospel.
.
Read the writings of those who testified and testify of Jesus Christ. They have allowed us to Hear Him!
I give thanks that you so freely share your thoughts with your writing. ❤️
