Love what is right.

Love what is right.
.
“And again, verily I say unto you, blessed is my servant Hyrum Smith; for I, the Lord, love him because of the integrity of his heart, and because he loveth that which is right before me, saith the Lord.” D&C 124:15.
.
I was reading an older Ensign article the other day, and it’s fitting how we continue to go through the same trials.
.
Do we seem to be getting any better or only worse?
.
Are we the same and not really getting better or any worse?
.
Is there even a chance our society can even heal at this point?
.
What do you all think?
.
As you read that opening scripture, what caused Hyrum to be the way he was?
.
What a blessing it is to be one who loves that which is right.
.
One of the important messages I have been pondering on includes the following by Marvin J. Ashton.
.
“There seems to be a tendency among many of us in our society today to live by compromise, rationalization, comparison, and self-justification.
.
Love of right has been replaced by love of acceptance and convenience.
.
Some mistakenly think the pathway of safety is somewhere between the path of righteousness and the road to destruction.
.
Others seem to have convinced themselves that the way to perfection is reached by traveling the highway of compromise.”
.
When will you reaffirm the great truth that God’s paths are straight?
.
What are you waiting for? The invitation has been given.
.
These things not only provide safety, but they also lead to happiness and eternal progression.
.
Hear Him—What a blessing it is to be one who loves that which is right!
