When the light turns on, the darkness vanishes.

When the light turns on, the darkness vanishes.
.
It’s true—walk into a dark room and turn on the light. Did it take a few seconds to vanish, or did it do it immediately? The answer is the latter.
.
That’s what happens when you decide to follow Christ. Don’t get me wrong; you’ll have to continue turning on the lights, and sometimes your light bulbs may go out, but you have to monitor and repair continually.
.
Sometimes you’re going to have to step into the darkness to pull a friend out or a family member out. It might not be easy to get to them; it may seem impossible with the darkness; however, use your intellect—bring the light with you.
.
As you continue to study, pray, and seek the Lord, you’re going to have the light to do things that seem impossible. “With men, it is impossible, but not with God: for with God, all things are possible.” Matt 19:16–26.
.
Once you know how to turn on your light, you’re not finished. You need to turn on the light of the world. There is work to be done. There is darkness in this world and a lot of it. We need to move forward and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
.
Christ lives, and so does His doctrine. His Church is here on earth, and the same established principles and saving ordinances are here to stay!
.
We have a Prophet of God to lead us and to help show us and teach us where to shine our lights and how to do it the most effective way.
.
“The ultimate power rests with the Lord and with His Priesthood, with His servants. That idea should be an encouragement to members of the Church when they are intruded upon by forces that are evil and dark. Ultimately the power of light can hold them in abeyance.” (THT, p. 123).
.
Hear Him!
