God Loves All of His Children

God loves All of His children
.
It’s as simple as that—There were some incredible talks this morning during our first session of general conference. The message I took from each speaker was the fact that God indeed loves all of us.
.
We are in the center of some unusual times, but our prophet assured us, “unusual times can bring unusual blessings.” That is such sound advice. We need to listen to that and look for opportunities to find the unusual blessings we are receiving. I know I have seen them in my own life.
.
We need to be prepared, as well. Our Father in Heaven and Savior Jesus Christ wants us to have our lamps full. They don’t want us to be left out. They want us to enjoy the rich blessings that will come when Christ reigns again in glory on this earth.
.
Our Father in Heaven also wants us to be honest with ourselves. They are there to help us along the way. If we are honest with ourselves, we will be open-minded and ready to receive the revelation He has for us and wants to bless us with.
.
One of my favorite take-aways from this conference was from Elder Rasband—Let’s do everything we can to hold a current temple recommend. This is extremely important because it’s EFFORT, and the Lord loves EFFORT. As we work towards obtaining and keeping a present temple recommend, we are going to have the blessings of being “recommended to the Lord.”
.
Our Heavenly Father loves us so much that He provided us scriptures to understand His will and plan for us. If we expound our studies of the scriptures, we will be prepared to receive blessings, revelation, and comfort, knowing we are worthy to be “recommended” to the Lord.
.
Elder Oaks drove home an excellent example which proves our Heavenly Father and Savior love ALL of the children. Christ himself taught us to “Love our enemies.” Now, why would he ask that of us unless He himself loved ALL? He truly does.
.
It’s not easy to love if we don’t understand why we should love. If we can’t love our enemies, we need to search our scriptures harder, pray for understanding, and make attempts to mend relationships with our enemies. We will only be blessed as we do what we are asked.
.
Hear Him!
