Do you enjoy being challenged?

Do you enjoy being challenged?
.
While I was on my mission, I had the opportunity to shake President Russell M. Nelson’s hand during a mission conference.
.
I’ll never forget the experience. It’s burned into my memory. I looked him in the eyes, and he looked right back into mine. From that moment on, there was never a question for me—he was then and is now a Disciple of our Lord.
.
I remember him and his wife speaking to us. One of the things I remember changed my life. It was in regards to prayer and trials.
.
We were challenged to pray for a trial. We were also counseled to remember that once the trial came, to remember; we prayed for it.
.
They taught us that once we pray for a trial, the hardest part is to remember that we, in fact, prayed for the trial. The next step in the process was to thank Heavenly Father for the trial and next to endure it.
.
After we prayed for the trial, remembered the trial when it arrived and thanked our Heavenly Father when the trial arrived, that’s when the blessing would come.
.
I have accepted this challenge many times over the years. Sometimes this has brought incredibly challenging trials, but the rewards were tremendous.
.
There were times I questioned the trial and asked the Lord why He gave me such a trial. I have always been reminded, ”Mike, you asked for the trial, you idiot.”
.
The Lord always reminds me & allows me to humble myself, thanking Him for helping me grow spiritually through my test.
.
There is no limit on what you can ask the Lord. You can ask Him for a small trial, medium trial, big trial. He may give you a more significant trial than you even ask for. Why? Because He is all-knowing. He knows what you can handle & what you can’t.
.
Don’t be afraid to receive great trials. The Lord is waiting for you to come to Him and grow in His bounteous love and blessings.
.
Look at the trials we are facing today. Have we taken the time to thank the Lord for this Pandemic? Have we taken the time to thank the Lord for the other tumultuous noise around the world?
.
It’s time to remember and hear Him. Thank Him for these great trials we are facing. ”For ye receive no witness until after the trial of your faith.” Ether 12:6
