WHAT IS IT YOU FEAR, AND WHY?

What is it you fear, and why?
.
There is an analogy about the wolves and the fear people have of them. What causes this fear?
.
What makes you fear a wolf? Have you been bitten by one? Have you ever heard of someone that has been bitten by a wolf or even killed by a wolf? I know I haven’t. Never have I heard of a wolf attack on a human.
.
So, what is it that causes this fear?
.
I am going to speculate, and it’s okay to agree to disagree. I am afraid WE are the reason. We gossip, spread false rumors, and in our mind, we create a fear that shouldn’t even exist.
.
We do things like this all the time. We spread fake news and rumors, which instill fear, anxiety, and hate. Instead of finding the truth of things, we are too quick to ”ask google” or ”phone a friend” for the answer.
.
Why do we do this to ourselves? Is it that hard to study things out and find the answer for ourselves? The right answer, that’s is! Looking up legitimate articles with backing documents and sources can be fun! It can also stop the fear of ”wolves” we bring on ourselves.
.
We often fear things and people because we do not know them.
.
We learn in the scripture not to fear. To Abraham before Isaac was born, the Lord had said: “Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield.” (Gen. 15:1.). We also know Jacob feared going into Egypt, but why? The Lord said to him, “I am God, the God of thy father: fear not to go down into Egypt; for I will there make of thee a great nation.” (Gen. 46:3.)
.
I truly believe that one of the reasons the Lord has given us these great scriptures is because he would have us put aside fear: “The glory of God is intelligence.” (D&C 93:36.
.
Fear someone? Learn more about him. Fear cancer? Learn more about it. Then fight it. Fear death? Learn more of eternity.
.
Do you fear these things? Then learn to hear Him!!
