How important is your religious freedom?

How important is your religious freedom?
.
Take a moment to think about your religious freedoms. Now take a moment and picture your life without them.
.
Do we need to make a list of what would happen to our Country and the world, or is it self-explanatory?
.
Look at what’s happened to our country during the pandemic. For some time, we were forced to stay home and unable to attend church services with our congregations.
.
Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints have been blessed to have a prophet to prepare us for this transition; however, our rights have still been infringed upon.
.
Look at what’s happening around us. Things don’t look pretty. Once God is removed from the picture, bad things begin to happen—It’s not a coincidence.
.
”As society continues to move away from eternal truths and God-given commandments, we can’t predict all the consequences that may result if religious freedom and the right to act on our beliefs are taken away.
.
So we need to raise our voices to defend religious freedom. If we don’t raise them for the protection of religion now, vital religious freedoms will be lost.
.
When we join the cause together, we can make a difference that will protect religious freedom not just for Latter-day Saints but also for followers of all religion.” (Religious Freedom Section of Gospel Library).
.
Elder Bednar warned there is a danger in limiting a religious organization’s right to gather. “Gathering, in short, is at the core of faith and religion. Indeed, if the faithful are not gathering, sooner or later they will begin to scatter. And because gathering lies at the very heart of religion, the right to gather lies at the very heart of religious freedom.”
