HOW FAST DO YOU TURN TO PRAYER?

How fast do you turn to prayer?
.
In a world of temptation, it’s almost impossible to run like Joesph of old did when Potiphar’s wife tempted him.
.
The Lord’s prayer simply indicates,” And suffer us not to be led into temptation, but deliver us from evil.” (JST).
.
The Lord will not give us a temptation without a way to deliver us. The Lord has made an “escape, that [we] may be able to bear it.” (1 Cor. 10:13.).
.
We do have to face temptations of every kind during our time here on earth. It’s inevitable and to think otherwise; you’d be sorely mistaken.
.
Now, we must clearly understand that ”through the gift of his Son he has provided the means for us to be free from evil, even after the fact, if we are willing to pay the price.” Jeffery R. Holland.
.
We all now know what the Lord’s prayer is by reading it, but do we understand what to do after offering our prayers?
.
We pray to be protected, and we pray to be delivered from the adversary. So, don’t pray and then go center yourself around your weakness.
.
If you struggle with drugs, don’t pray and then go to a hot spot for dope usage.
.
If you struggle with lust, don’t pray and let yourself wander places where you’ll be able to activate lustful desires.
.
If you struggle with alcohol, don’t pray and then go to a bar or locations that may serve alcohol.
.
If you struggle with envy, don’t pray and then go to places where you’re going to wish you had what everyone else has.
.
The point being, RUN like Joseph of old. I would say our world is pretty bad, so how do you just run away? Every corner you turn, it seems you can run into your problem.
.
So, my suggestion… PRAY! Instead of physically running away, PRAY. Ask your Heavenly Father to deliver you from your temptations. He HAS an escape for you, but you have to HEAR HIM to find it and know where it is.

Pray+Study+Hear Him=Escape
