Do you whine and complain, or do you just get the job done?

Do you whine and complain, or do you just get the job done?
.
I’ve read the passage over and over again about Nephi breaking his bow. Today, I thought to myself, do I whine and complain, or do I just get the job done?
.
I know I’ve asked the question before about ”Are you a leader or a follower?” It’s a good time to stop and think. Are you just going along with the majority of the Saints because it’s ’the culture.’
.
Do you get tough when the tough get going?
.
What do you honestly believe?
.
Do you believe in the Gospel of Jesus Christ?
.
Do you partake of the sacrament emblems and sincerely hold up to the covenants you made with the Lord?
.
Do you witness unto the Father that you will always remember His Son, Jesus Christ?
.
Why did Nephi not quit? He broke his bow, but he didn’t stop. He drove forward with God on his side. His family quit on the Lord, so did the Sons of Ishmael. What’s even more surprising, Nephi’s father, Lehi, began to murder against the Lord.
.
What does that tell you? It tells me even a prophet of God can lose faith. The prophet Lehi lost faith and was severely chastised for it by the Lord!
.
Nephi’s dad HIS OWN DAD lost faith for a moment; however, Nephi DROVE FORWARD!! Why? Because, he was born of goodly parents and knew his dad taught him to do hard things.
.
Sometimes our family and friends are going to lose faith and ’give up.’ We need to be like Nephi and show them over and over and over again why we MUST HAVE FAITH IN THE LORD!!
.
These last days are tough. Are you going to whine and complain, or are you going to do something about it?
.
The Lord needs the best players on His field. You don’t have to have talent; you just have to have the heart! Hear Him!!
