IF NOT YOU THEN WHO?

If not you, who?
.
These sweet individuals are my centerfold. You can start at the beginning or the end of my book, but you’ll always find that my story leads to them. Let me explain why with a scripture.
.
”For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” (Eph. 6:11–12.)”
.
So, with that scripture, I learn that I have to have the best defense—I have to teach them how to protect themselves and how to protect our family.
.
I echo what Harold B. Lee said about this scripture. Paul implied that our most deadly contest in life is not with human enemies, which may come with guns or bombing planes to destroy us, but with enemies that strike out of darkness and may not be perceived by human senses.
.
What is your best armor of defense?
.
I laugh when people say I have an entire army with my big family of 7. It’s true; I do have a significant command, and they are well equipped.
.
My family is always training for battle. We are always learning new skills and acquiring new weapons. We do this through prayer, scripture study, family discussions, and individual interviews.
.
We know what each other’s strengths are because we train together. We learn who does what best, and we shift ourselves around to provide the best defense.
.
We continuously build our temple to keep the enemy on the outer gates, and when we leave our home, we suit each other up so we can stand firm and continue to fight the adversary when we are separated.
.
The leaders of our army begin with our 17-year-old, Rilan. Then to our 11-year-old, Ren. Next, our 10-year-old, Emma. Down to our 7-year-old, Warner. And last but not least, our 5-year-old, Hallie Rose.
.
They prepare every day, and as their Dad and Mekenzi as their mom, we make sure they have the best equipment to protect themselves.
.
Prepare your families, and if you’re off the beaten path, get back on it and start now. I’ve said it over and over; it’s never too late until it’s too late. Right now, it’s not too late!
.
Agency is given to all, but what we choose to do with our agency will determine our return.
