OUR ABRAHAMIC TEST

What is your Abrahamic test?
.
As you think about that question, I want you to turn your mind to Abraham and the test the Lord put him through. Would you be like Abraham and be so willing to follow the Lord’s direction?
.
We all will be tested and go through our own ”Abrahamic test(s).”
.
Joseph Smith taught many things. A few things he taught are that ”Men have to suffer that they may come upon Mount Zion and be exalted above the heavens.”
.
He taught that our trials will be trials of our faith equal to that of Abraham—Why is this?
.
Again, we learn from him, ” Trials will only give us the knowledge necessary to understand the minds of the ancients so that ancients will not have whereof to boast over us in the day of judgment, as being called to pass through heavier afflictions; that we may hold an even weight in the balance with them.” (Teachings)
.
Are we going through a trial together? I feel safe to say yes. How are you doing with the worldwide pandemic? How are you doing with the protests? How about the earthquakes, tornadoes, hurricanes, and everything else?
.
Where is your faith? Are you doing what the Lord is asking you to do? Are you willing to be as Abraham and draw your sword and complete your test?
.
”And it is quite as necessary for you to be tried as it was for Abraham and other men of God, and God will feel after you (He will come looking for you), and He will take hold of you and wrench your very heartstrings, and if you cannot stand it, you will not be fit for an inheritance in the Celestial Kingdom of God”(Teachings).
.
Again, I ask, how are you responding to your own personal trials? How are you responding to shared trials? The Lord is sifting the wheat from the tares during COVID-19, Nationwide protests, and everything else.
.
Hear Him and rise up to your Abrahamic test(s)!
