CHANGE YOUR TACTICS

Is your heart too hardened to change?
.
So what if you’ve lived a rough life. Today is the day you change your tactics. Today is the day you pick yourself up and change the course of your life.
.
You’re afraid of what others may think about you, I understand. I also understand what’s more important, and that’s the purpose of this life—giving our will to the Lord.
.
Recently, I have been asked how as a police officer I deal with all the protests, how I stand on the front line and get yelled at, spit at, and have items chucked my direction.
.
It’s definitely not easy, but as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, isn’t that what we’ve been dealing with since day one?
.
My entire life, I’ve been laughed at for being ”A Mormon.” I have high standards because of the things I was taught. It took me a while to embrace those standards, and I’m still doing my best to embrace them.
.
I have had great people before me who have paved the way, so being a ”Mormon” would be a little more accepted.
.
The same applies as I hold the front lines. I look to the future, and I am taking the beating for those of the future generation.
.
Nothing will ever match what Christ did for us. He paved the way for our eternal salvation. He taught Peter what was more important, and that was becoming a fisherman of men.
.
He asked Peter and his disciples to change the course of their lives and to follow Him.
.
Change your tactics!
.
Are you going to keep doing the same things if your life doesn’t seem going the way you want it? I would hope not.
.
Turn your life around and stop worrying about what others will think of you. Are you here on earth to please them or to please God?
.
In the end, you will meet the Lord, and He will love you, but don’t wait until that day to show Him how much you love Him.
.
I always keep this quote from Elder Holland nearby.

”Don’t give up, boy. Don’t you quit. You keep walking. You keep trying. There is help and happiness ahead—a lot of it—You keep your chin up. It will be all right in the end. Trust God and believe in good things to come.”
.
I am proud to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Hear Him!
