CONTINUE TO CLIMB THE LADDER

You made a mistake, so what?
.
I think a lot of us (yes, including me) decide to climb the ladder, and when we start our climb, we look down. Are you guilty of this?
.
How many of you are like me and look down? I do this almost every time. I get a pit in my stomach and wonder why I decided even to climb.
.
I’m afraid of heights (If you’re not, think of something you’re scared of). I only climb a ladder when I absolutely have to.
.
Well, looking at my life, I am on the Lord’s ladder. I absolutely have to climb this ladder; I have no choice unless I don’t want to return to His presence.
.
Let’s say each step of the ladder is a new revelation. To obtain a new revelation, I have to trust the Lord and then put forth the action. I have to lift my leg and place my foot on the next step.
.
Looking down is a ”mistake.” When I look down, I can’t go up. Like I said before, I always look down. I can’t help myself. I make ”mistakes” every single day.
.
That’s why the Lord’s ladder has a harness. It’s secured around my waist because of His Atonement. As long as I have faith, I can make it to the top, and I keep progressing on the upward climb. I’m going to make it.
.
His steps continue to give me hope and courage. With each faithful step, I make up His ladder; the Lord helps pull me closer with the harness He has around me—He’s not going to let me fall.
.
He is going to allow me to look down, though. Our Heavenly Father gave us agency. It’s okay to look down. It teaches us to learn. Our mistakes are what we learn from. The higher we climb, the more mistakes we see as we look down.
.
When you make a mistake, look back up, and begin your climb. Don’t allow yourself to step down the ladder. You’re still making progress on the upward climb, but you need to repent and move upward.
.
It’s easy to just get off the ladder, and if you do, guess what? The ladder is never going to go away. You’ll always pass by the ladder and have a feeling to get back on. Listen to the spirit; He is telling you to get back on and begin your climb to the top.
.
He will harness you in and pull you to the top, as you have faith in Him. Each step is a new revelation.
.
Hear Him!
