Fortify Your Homes & Teach Your Children.

Fortify your homes & teach your children.
.
It’s a sad thing to see, and I see it more and more. Parents are passing their duties to teach their children to the babysitter, church leaders, school teachers, and whoever else.
.
We can have a beautiful home on the outside, and we should. We should also have a beautiful, Christ-felt, spirit-filled, and parent-lead home on the inside.
.
If you’re a parent, RISE-UP! You have a responsibility. We have the duty to make sure there is cleanliness and godliness in the home of our family members.
.
Our biggest blessing we can give to our children is teaching and training them in the way of the Lord. Lead them and guide them! Don’t shirk your responsibilities to others.
.
Always be training; Constantly be vigilant; be a companion and the ‘watchmen’ of your children. As you do, you will have a home intact and be able to bless your children in the Lord’s way.
.
The doctrine is crystal clear. If parents do not teach their children—their children—they will be held responsible. D&C 68:25.
.
This is not my opinion—This is the word of God.
.
Take the time to love your children. Teach them about the Savior and what he has in store for them. Teach them to walk in the light of his love. Teach them to pray to the father above. Teach them to know about the right things.
.
President Harold B. Lee has said it this way: “Just as a flood-lighted temple is more beautiful in a severe storm or a in heavy fog, so the gospel of Jesus Christ is more glorious in times of inward storm and of personal sorrow and tormenting conflict.”
.
Being a good Christian means, we must be good citizens of our country. Let’s teach our children to be that person.
