THE FATHERS PLAN

Who will be my Son?

It’s interesting to me when I think of the plan of the Father. I have heard many times from members as they talk about His plan and how it was presented.

Let’s be clear. It’s the Father’s plan. There were not two separate plans. When I say that, I am saying that there was not a plan presented by Christ and a plan presented by Lucifer.

God ordained & established His plan. He is the author, and no one gave him suggestions otherwise.

How do we know this? We study Joseph Smith.

”God himself, finding he was in the midst of spirits and glory, because he was more intelligent, saw proper to institute laws whereby the rest could have a privilege to advance like himself. The relationship we have with God places us in a situation to advance in knowledge.” (Teachings, p. 354)

So from this, we know that God was before us, and His plan was taught to all of us.

When He asked ”whom shall I send” to be the Redeemer?Abr. 3:27. That’s where I think the confusion of ”two plans” is taken out of context; however, this is only when Christ and Lucifer came forward.

Christ spoke first and said he would do his will. He said he would be the one to go down as the Son, the only begotten in the flesh and atone for the sins of the world. He said he would do this and all the glory will be to His Father.

Lucifer then spoke and said he would go and redeem all mankind, and that one soul wouldn’t be lost. But, he wanted all Gods honor and upon return, he wanted to sit at his throne and be like the most high God. ”I will exalt my throne above the stars of God” Isa. 14:13-14

The rest we already know. Christ was chosen, and HE IS OUR REDEEMER!
