What stops you from turning your life over to the scriptures?

I’m not a perfect person; none of us are. We can be consumed by the day to day formalities and procedures. We can get wrapped up in what the world expects from us, what we think our friends expect from us, what our neighbors, family, and everything else.

When do you say ENOUGH? We all make mistakes. We are on this earth to discover who we are. One of the biggest challenges we are going to face is standing up for ourselves.

I know for me, I have made questionable choices. Peer pressure has and still does get to me, at times. Are we hypocrites when the day comes that we ”find the scriptures” and ”our hearts desire a change?”

Are we hypocrites because we tell our friends, family, neighbors, ”I’m sorry for things I’ve said or done, but I have been reading and studying the scriptures, and because of this, I have a clear understanding that I have been misleading. I apologize to you for my previous actions, but I need to move forward in the way of righteousness—The way of the Lord.”

What holds you back from doing this? What stops you from changing your life and handing it entirely over to the Lord and His scriptures?

”Men and women who turn their lives over to God will discover that He can make a lot more out of their lives than they can. He can deepen their joys, expand their vision, quicken their minds, strengthen their muscles, lift their spirits, multiply their blessings, increase their opportunities, comfort their soals, and pour out peace.” – ETB

The Lord needs you. Whether you’re a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints or not. Stand up for truth and righteousness!

“Perhaps the Lord needs such men on the outside of His Church to help it along,” said the late Elder Orson F. Whitney of the Quorum of the Twelve. “They are among its auxiliaries, and can do more good for the cause where the Lord has placed them, than anywhere else.
Hence, some are drawn into the fold and receive a testimony of the truth, while others remain unconverted … the beauties and glories of the gospel being veiled temporarily from their view, for a wise purpose.”

Have a wonderful Wednesday!
