Who is a friend you will never forget?
–
In August of 2005, I left on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I was called to serve in the Florida, Orlando Mission, Spanish speaking.
–
One of the greatest blessings during my mission (or curses 🤣😬) was this brother. Not long before I left on my mission, he was being taught by missionaries. He was baptized and left his home in Ecuador and came to the United States of America.
–
David Chuki will always be a friend and a brother to me. He taught me how to speak Spanish and spent nearly a year with me going on visits to our assigned area.
–
David was at the temple when I was married, let me borrow his car when I returned to visit Florida and continues to check on me 15 years later. He is back living in Ecuador, but the friendship remains.
–
Elder Rasband advised all of us that a very important element of our experience in the gospel is the friends we make and the mentors we follow.
–
The only way to have a friend is to be a friend.
–
During our times of trouble, be a friend. The Lord set forth that example for us. Now, let’s follow him!
You make my heart happy every day to be your Grandma! Proud of the life you live, how you love, and who you are.
